Experience
Camila started her legal career at magic circle law firm, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, in 2007 and qualified as solicitor in 2009. She gained experience in the Intellectual Property, Information Technology and Commercial Department at Freshfields advising clients across a variety of sectors.
Camila has spent time on client secondments to Barclays Bank plc, PepsiCo, Sony and Bank of America. She also experienced life first hand as an in-house lawyer when she joined Alpha FMC, a global AIM listed management consultancy firm, as sole legal counsel in 2019. Over the next three years, Camila set up Alpha’s legal function and became their Head of Legal overseeing a team of three lawyers.

In addition to her legal work, Camila is involved with several charities and offers her time and expertise to help those less fortunate in London. Camila volunteers at City Harvest, a last mile emergency food charity in London and is the Charity Lead for the Parents’ Group at St Paul’s Junior School. Outside of work and volunteering,
Recent experience includes:
- Advising numerous businesses across all sectors on how to identify, protect and exploit their IP and technology assets
- Advising start-ups on legal considerations when launching a new business and preparing key commercial contracts
- Preparing Website terms and conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for ecommerce businesses
- Advising software companies on appropriate commercial contracts for their business (for example, SaaS agreements, Software Licenses)
